We are currently seeking a Head of Compliance for both our Fund Management Company and our Life Insurance Company. The role is divided between the two regulated entities.

What you’ll do

As Head of Compliance at Lysa’s fund company and insurance company, you will lead our insurance and fund compliance functions, enhancing our strong group culture of regulatory compliance. You will collaborate closely with the CEOs, Boards of Directors, and the legal function, as well as with the wider Lysa Group’s risk and compliance teams.

You will:

• Conduct compliance risk assessments and monitor compliance risks

• Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and internal guidelines

• Work closely with the insurance and fund teams in day-to-day operations, actively advising from a compliance perspective in the development of products and offerings to customers, including participating in NPAP, POG:s and other first-line processes to ensure regulatory compliance is integrated from the start

• Drive compliance-related training for your colleagues and the Board of Directors

• Ensure that the companies maintain robust internal governance and control frameworks

• Report regularly to the Boards and the Financial Supervisory Authority (FI)

• Maintain and develop internal compliance policies and procedures

• Participate in cross-functional risk workshops together with the broader organization and second line functions, to proactively identify and address compliance risks and contribute to a sound risk and control environment

• Stay abreast of regulatory developments and assess their business implications

You will report to the CEO and the Board of Directors for regulatory matters, and our Group CFO for people matters and personal development.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, structured and effective in execution.

• Thrive in a high-influence, high-responsibility environment.

• Solution-oriented with strong commercial understanding and integrity.

• Experienced within the areas of in the areas of insurance business,- contract, and distribution law and UCITS. Experience with AIF regulation is a plus.

• At least a few years experience possibly as a fund and/or insurance lawyer, compliance officer or internal auditor at a fund company and/or life insurance company, at the SFSA, an audit firm, or at a well-renowned law firm.

• Experience in another regulated industry, FinTech, or a genuine interest in and understanding of personal finance and savings is a plus.

• Experience within sustainability/ESG and DORA is a plus.

• Strong ambition, curiosity, and willingness to learn are valued higher than many years of experience.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex legal issues simply.

• You enjoy working closely with legal, engineers and other stakeholders creating the best possible conditions for a compliant and proactive business.

This role is the Head of Compliance in Lysa’s fund company (Lysa Fonder AB) and Lysa’s insurance company (Lysa Life Försäkring AB). The position is based in Stockholm or Karlskrona, reporting to the CEO and the Board of Directors for regulatory matters, and our Group CFO for people matters and personal development.
