We are now looking for a Legal Counsel with approx. 1 years’ experience to join our growing legal team.

The opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to become part of a highly skilled and collaborative team, working across all legal entities in the Lysa Group – the securities company, the fund company, and the insurance company. As a legal team member, you will work closely with all our in-house lawyers (currently five people, soon to be seven) where the need is greatest, which means broad exposure to different legal areas and business initiatives from day one.

This role is ideal for someone early in their career – perhaps with experience from a law firm, court service or regulated industry – who wants to grow fast in a dynamic and supportive environment. You’ll gain valuable insight into how legal as an integral part contributes to product development and business success, while also having the opportunity to specialize over time based on your interests and the company’s evolving needs.

Key responsibilities

• Legal assessments related to new products, regulatory developments, and business initiatives.

• Legal research, documentation and internal advisory work.

• Reviewing and preparing customer agreements and information, internal policies, and governance documents.

• Assisting in regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II, MiFID II, IDD, AIFMD and UCITS.

• Collaborating with our customer support team on legal questions raised by customers.

• Matters related to corporate and employment law.

Qualifications

• A Swedish LL.M. degree with strong academic results.
• Approx. 1 years' qualified legal experience, e.g. from:
  • A district court (tingsmeritering)
  • A law firm
  • A company in the financial industry or public authority
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, structured and effective in execution.
• Thrive in a high-influence, high-responsibility environment.
• Solution oriented.
• Unpretentious, ambitious, and responsible team player.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Swedish and English, capable of explaining complex legal issues simply.
